Sunny weather got you lazy???

Motivational tips to keep you fit this summer!

A few ideas to help motivate you this summer:

  • Get outside!  Balance your indoor workouts and classes with some outdoor training.  Take a hike, bike ride, or try a new adventure sport.  VAC hosts Trail Day on Friday, June 26, which is sure to be a great workout, fun, and a good community effort as well.  Watch for additional outdoor classes and events in July.
  • Attend a workshop or lecture for some new inspiration--the VAC hosts an educational series focused on increasing your fitness and wellness knowledge, as well as regular yoga workshops and more! 
  • Try something new--get into a yoga, Pilates, functional training, or climbing class.  Push your comfort zone and see what happens--our trainers and instructors are ready to welcome you, even as a beginner.
  • Having a hard time getting into the gym when it's so nice outside?  Plan for quick workouts to balance your fitness--come in for our 65 minute yoga classes, or run/bike to the VAC and do a 20 minute lifting session.
  • Sign up for a local race or event that you'll need to train for--doing it with friends will keep you even more motivated.
